Hawk,

I’m amazed that for exactly this product they have not announced Copilot integration (yet)

Hawk,

Isn’t this that racist, anti-vegan restaurant?

Hawk,

By your logic they shouldn’t be broken because it’s the competitors’ fault if people don’t do business with them instead.

Yes exactly, that’s why they shouldn’t be broken.

They’re consumer friendly and are not taking specific action to BE a monopoly, contrary to many other companies.

There’s also enough competition and it’s exactly their fault that they fail/refuse to implement what makes Steam so popular.

I’m definitely against monopolies, but mindlessly slapping rules on them just because they’re labeled monopolies is some of the dumbest shit I’ve heard

Hawk,

I think they’re down voting because, no, the singularity is not approaching at blistering speed.

Hawk,

It’s says percentage of TOTAL population.

So for 2023 that’s about 28 + 16 + 7 + 4 + 3 = 58 percent.

Hawk,

I think you are a bit confused about the E-mail structure.

Everything behind the @ is the domain, on your case “domain.com” Before the @ is just a name that can be used as you, the domain owner, wants.

If you want to redirect all mail to yourname@domain.com, that’s very easy to do AND you can still see the original e-mail address these nails were sent to.

So I assume for example Dropbox sent some commercial mail about current offers. Using that, he knew the old account and that it was signed up to Dropbox

Hawk,

It’s from an Apple commercial, which was an allusion to 1984

Hawk,

In itself, this isn’t really news. But that together with the other news about him, I think that’s pretty obvious.

Why fight this so hard if this isn’t “newsworthy” according to you?

Hawk,

The wheel is just there during the testing phase as a backup, seems the final pods don’t have it, as it would make the idea useless.

Hawk,

Old railway lines in Europe often aren’t complete anymore and only cover relatively small distances.

There simply isn’t enough infrastructure to handle a full train network and fixing them up would probably require existing infrastructure and buildings to be disowned and destroyed.

Hawk,

And there’s the problem. Why should Hamas be called a terrorist and not the Israel government?

This is why news organisations avoid the word. It clearly picks a side.

Hawk,

Gabe has always said he’ll make HL3, “when the technology is there”.

No idea what it means, but it seems he at least has a vision for what the game should be.

Hawk,

Like I told you before. That’s not a link to the license, the page itself says so!

Hawk,

Aha, so you actually read it? Thanks for clarifying.

So you didn’t reach the conclusion that this license is incompatible with posting on Lemmy?

Hawk,

I’m kinda assuming it’s a reference to It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia

Hawk,

Because it’s probably trolls, not Nintendo

Hawk,

You must be terrible at geography if you don’t even know Ukraine is in Europe…

Hawk,

There’s going to be some silly background story that somehow levels the playing field, I’m guessing…

Hawk,

Yeah, this is not a marathon. Marathons are a walk in the park compared to this.

Hawk,

Also made communities, setup a patron and donation mails.

This just seems like a dude wanting to scam money out of it and/or taking credit for continued development, disregarding any effort made before the fork.

Hawk,

I hate where he placed the octagon.

Hawk,

Have to? Been playing on Linux for years, haven’t had many issues so far.

Hawk,

This is about Swift trying to take down the guy aggregating PUBLIC flight data because it inconveniences her.

I tried, I really did

I’ve been an IT professional for 20 years now, but I’ve mainly dealt with Windows. I’ve worked with Linux servers through out the years, but never had Linux as a daily driver. And I decided it was time to change. I only had 2 requirements. One, I need to be able to use my Nvidia 3080 ti for local LLM and I need to be able...

Hawk,

Weird, I’m using Linux as my daily driver and have A LOT less bullshit to handle.

It does take a bit of setup, but I’m a lot more productive and haven’t really any Windows “exclusive” tools, except for some Windows only protocols for which I still need to boot up Windows now and again.

The problem is people try using Linux like Windows. It’s like using a hammer to drill holes, obviously you’re going to have a bad experience if you use the tools the wrong way.

Hawk,

Won’t even compile in languages like Go though

Hawk,

Most of those reviews are “this game actually sucks, but if you ignore the bad stuff it’s great. 8/10”

Hawk,

People are loving the concept, but I’ve heard the game itself is pretty meh

Hawk,

GTA 3, GTA Vice City, GTA San Andreas, Into The Breach, Dead Cells, Kentucky Route Zero, Oxenfree, Bloons TD 6, World of Goo, …

It’s a pretty decent selection

Hawk,

No, they expected people to buy it at launch and then run off with the money

Hawk,

They were working on TS4, right?

My brother and I played TS2 a ton on the GameCube, good memories

Hawk,

“Sequel to game looks like improved version of game”.

Not sure what point you’re trying to make here?

Hawk,

Man, you sound like you’re just using random words you heard in class. Clearly you have no clue how user registration actually works, let alone backend development.

Hawk,

If you bought a compatible game that suddenly updates to be unusable on your platform, I think that’s a big issue…

Looking for games with unique core mechanics

I’m requesting for recommendations for games that stand out from the rest in their genre, and not in the sense of being the best game in that niche but actually bringing something new and innovative to the table. I’ve not had much experience in gaming, but I have a few games to give you a hint on what I am talking about:...

Hawk,

I really love Terra Nil.

You basically have to restore a wasteland back to lush, green nature.

Much like a city builder, this is achieved by putting down buildings. The twist is that at the end, you can’t leave a trace so you need to demolish everything again.

It’s not a long game, but I thought it was very satisfying. A relaxing puzzle/city builder with soothing music.
