90 hours a week is just insane. But so is working 40 hours a week tbh. I understand that many people need to work fulltime in order to provide for themselves and their families, but they shouldn’t have to. Nobody should have to give up 5 out of 7 days of their life to sustain a moderate quality of life. We (humanity) should be better than that.

I’ve just installed it and will play around with it for a bit. Subscribing to artists and tags is a big one. You can even subscribe to whole search strings. That’s awesome! The download feature is pretty cool, too, and although the hover zoom still feels a bit weird, I kinda like it. All that I’m missing after looking at it for ten minutes is an option to keep the tags on e6 in the downloaded image’s metadata, but that’s no big deal :3

tbh I never quite understood the email analogy because emails are a completely different format, even if the general idea of communication across providers is the same. Yeah, online comments can be quite unpredictable because you never really know who’s gonna see them, even in communities that usually are very nice. I think some of that is just a Lemmy thing. Posts and comments in furry communities sometimes get a bunch of downvotes and a couple of mean comments because people browsing All stumble across them.

Lemmy is still fairly young and small, and as such, it needs people like you who post and keep this place alive, but don’t forget to take some time for yourself and your mental health when it gets too exhausting. For what it’s worth, I like your posts and I don’t think they (or you) are stupid :3

It’s wild how so many places just exist without anybody to observe them. The ceiling light in my bedroom has 2x 2,600 and 2x 4,000 bulbs that I can switch between (or I can turn on all four at once, but I never do that), and I kinda like the 4k bulbs better to the point where I rarely use the 2.6k ones. Even at night, I prefer them because they feel a bit brighter and not so “heavy,” but I don’t know why that is. But I’m not slippery-sloping to mental illness (I’m already there uwu).
