There is no such thing as a “national divorce”. What you are talking about is civil war. A civil war that Trump and his band of criminals wants to make happen. As of right now he couldn’t do anything about it because he’s not the president. I’m sure if it came down to it he would try to illegally deploy the military to achieve his nefarious goals, destroy democracy permanently, and plant himself in the position of dictator for life. He’s said that he plans to do as much right out in public.
Personally I consider things like Zen Buddhism to more like a philosophy or a lifestyle than a “religion”. I always assumed it was lumped in with religion because there isn’t really a better term that allows it to fit into most people’s world view
To me “religion” implies a dogmatic system overeen by a fictional all powerful self serving omnipresent deity or deities
Again, these are just my personal views on the matter though
This is the character that the Bing AI image generator came up with when I used the prompt “anime style drawing of man who looks like the village idiot dancing around idiotically” lol
That’s a weird way of saying this… Is he divorced from his wife, or was his current wife previously married before they met and he just calls her his “divorced wife” as some kind of passive aggressive commentary about her past?
I don’t like to use the word “woke” because it’s become a conservative buzzword that has no real meaning anymore besides “something I don’t like”.
I grew up reading X-Men in the 80s and 90s, I watched the X-Men animated series when it came out and have watched it again in the last few years. Yes it is very progressive and liberal. That was the entire reason X-Men comics were created in the first place way back in 1963. It was originally meant to be a commentary on racism in America but has branched out to cover all sorts of liberal topics over the years
Anyone who tries to put some kind of right wing spin on the X-Men is either trolling you or is legitimately delusional
I haven’t kept up with the comics as much these days, but I’ve seen that they’re doing a lot more LGBT stuff lately. Looks like some of them are pretty good stories too, maybe I’ll pick it back up!
I’m old enough to remember when Republicans and Democrats weren’t that different… There were always key issues that they disagreed on but at the end of the day the majority of both parties just wanted what was best for the country, and they would even WORK TOGETHER from time to time when it was for the common good… How did the GOP go from that to this white trash hillbilly Nazi bullshit? Are they ever going to recognize that the enemies of democracy have taken over their party? When did they become so complacent?
The late-night talkshow host John Oliver has offered to pay Clarence Thomas $1m annually – as well as give him a $2m tour bus – if the Republican judge resigns from the US supreme court....
He won’t take it. Taking the offer would basically confirm everything bad that’s been said about him. It would also be admitting publicly that he will do literally anything for the right bribe. Thomas only likes to admit that behind closes doors.
I was born in 81, so which group I “belong” to seems to change depending on who I’m talking to.
An older person will usually say I’m a Millennial and accuse me of being a bleeding heart liberal who’s trying to bankrupt the country, but a younger person will often call me a “boomer” and accuse me of being a right wing conservative who is destroying everything America stands for and is worse than Hitler lol
Yeah I’m kind of the same lol! Although the Zoomers get really irate when I point out that they’ve over used “boomer” so much that it effectively has no meaning any more lol
