Pronell,

He was an antivax conspiracy theorist who was convinced there was no Trump/Russia connection.

Pronell,

I listened to NPR the other day. They read off research by The Heritage Foundation with no analysis at all and then thanked them at the end.

NPR aims to be middle of the road but doesn’t mind that it’s in the ditch.

Pronell,

You could just leave it equipped once you get it. That’s what I tend to accidentally do.

Pronell,

Of course they do.

They’d be young again.

Pronell,

I don’t see how abortion can be anything other than the single most important deciding factor of this election, taking a background seat to the fact that Americans don’t want a fascist takeover. But they’re closely related issues of course.

Pronell,

While I’m dreaming, I’d like a pony too.

So I’m not the only one that thinks of that Calvin & Hobbes reference regularly.

Pronell,

Well it was once recorded, so it was heard at the time. Then it was lost or forgotten until recently.

But if we have to bury it again for the sake of pedantry, alright.

Pronell,

So just the antivax Dem vote.

Got it.

Pronell,

So you’re better off and still feel like you’re on a treadmill. That makes sense.

And yeah, I wouldn’t pose the question like that either. Not enough has been done. The minimum wage is the same. I don’t fault him for that but it would be huge for those who struggle the most.

It has to be a comparison with what the other side has to offer.

Pronell,

They’re citing statistics.

YOU have the anecdotal evidence.

I’m sorry shit isn’t going so well for you and yes, it sucks to be kept down without much hope. I have been there - under Bush.

But it’s really fucking arrogant to say that because YOUR experience sucks the data is false and the press is lying.

Pronell,

I think it’s the wage growth, lower inflation, and longest sustained low unemployment of my lifetime that drive that economic success.

I do however agree that too much attention is paid to the stock market, and that wage growth isn’t high enough.

Pronell,

Thank you, that’s helpful information! And not at all surprising, as those nearest the bottom are usually the last to feel relief from economic downturns.

I think a lot of what helped us rebuild the economy is that during covid a ton of people completed their education and were ready to move up. Those who weren’t able to do that are still suffering and left behind to an extent.

Pronell,

So if these properties are seized and mortgaged to the hilt, he’s still responsible for the balance owed, isn’t he?

Ahahahahahaha!

Pronell,

They stream their games live on YouTube. My wife has been watching them despite no interest in hockey prior. It’s fun to watch.

Pronell,

These assholes will both sides anything and everything.

Now Democrats are responsible for Republicans choosing shitty candidates. Somehow.

Pronell,

It is a good play on words.

But the phrase denotes a man doing something totally useless that can have no effect, so it’s pointless to try. The analogy falls apart.

Isn't religion really just an opinion?

So, recently I was talking to a friend and somehow we got to talking about religion and stuff. When I complained that religion is often put on a huge pedestal and that it’s really just a glorified opinion and should be subject to the same criticism as any other opinion, they told me that that was a really hot take....

Pronell,

Even things you are certain to be true can turn out to be false. Does that make all knowledge opinion?

There’s a reason it’s seen as cowardly to say “Well that’s just my opinion” when one says something generally disturbing. Opinions are meant to be flexible and malleable. Values and beliefs, less so.

So for one example, let’s say “women belong in the home and shouldn’t be working or voting.” If you believe that, you think that’s how society would function better, the family unit, etc… by strictly limiting what others are able or meant to achieve in life.

Thats why that strawman ‘opinion’ would get pushback. It isn’t a passing thought. It’s more than that and has become a belief or a value, something that is harder to challenge.

I gotta say that this was actually a fantastic question. I enjoyed thinking this out.

Pronell,

He has the support of Sanders. And me. I consider myself a progressive.

Pronell,

I was not expecting that trailer to be narrated by the great George Guidall.

Pronell,

I’d survive 37 seconds in that world.

Possibly less if there’s grease on those stairs.

Pronell,

Definitely less if I’m told to roll initiative.

Pronell,

Elixir bag. Oil bag. Potion bag.

Gaaaah, do I hate looking for the right bottle!

Pronell,

Reading the list, your issues with Gale are temporary until they can fix his magic item eating UI. Then they will roll it back so he is as needy as he ever was, I imagine.

I also totally get what you’re referring to with him. As a guy, I found him repellant for exactly the reasons you specify. But I also found him realistically repellant and clueless.

Then on my third playthrough I let him sacrifice himself, and he grew in my estimation.

Poor guy was taken in, loved, and then abandoned by a goddess. Even if for good reason, it’s understandable how damaged he was by it all.

[SOLVED] Cant unequip mainhand weapon.

It’s the Knife of the Undermountain King, if that is relevant. I’m not a druid, so I don’t think it has anything to do with wild shape. I have had Jahiera in my party a few times. I did get disarmed once about 20 hours ago, so it might be related to that. Anyways, I cannot unequip, disarm, throw, or drop that knife. I’ve...

Pronell,

I’d suggest feeding it to Gale but I’m pretty sure that weapon is found well after that isn’t an option any longer.

Pronell,

My dog reacts when Scratch appears onscreen. (Sometimes when my druid is a bear, too.)

I try not to use Scratch too much as a result. Also I don’t like the yelp of a hurt dog.

Pronell,

My first playthrough I slept with the Emperor and then Wyll, and ended up with Wyll. I killed Karlach for Wyll.

Second one I was with Lae’zel but was a durge. I wanted to be with Karlach since I didn’t have her on my first playthrough but then I killed Isobel. That dooms Karlach.

So this time I’m aiming for Karlach. She’s so fun!

Pronell,

Well that’s hilarious.

My second run on my PS5 has been so terribly glitchy. And yes, it’s a Dark Urge run.

My response to being caught is to murder some more.

Pronell,

Imagine doing a Jar Jar impression and having to live with it for an entire game.

Shadowheart in baby blue and gold - not so dark after all (i.postimg.cc)

OK, confession time. I disliked Shadowheart at first, like really disliked her. So I dyed her clothes into light colors cause it seems like she’d hate that, being all into Shar and darkness. She has since grown on me, but I still really like these colors on her, even if she might not…

Pronell,

Gale was the fuckbuddy of the goddess of magic and it wasn’t enough for him.

I have zero sympathy for him in his whole storyline.
