In a bad-vibes moment, they’re denying a huge outlet like IGN a review code. No matter what I think of IGN in particular (nothing good tbh), that’s not something I can find a real explanation for other than “We made DC’s Gollum and want to avoid bad press as long as we can”.

Same exact experience. Then someone from Reddit messaged me some non spoiler wary game tips and I went back in and played 130 hours. It was my first souls game since PS3 Demon’s Souls. I ended up loving it. But I fucking hated it at first, and I don’t blame anyone for being turned off.

Class Of 09 I loved, but it’s REAAAALLY CRUNCHY

I’m not far enough into paltopialand to really say, but at the beginning and five hours in, it runs at 142FPS and never drops *at max settings. Its performance is really remarkable for an early game.

I’ve never played Rust or Ark.

They’re jank and clunk and that’s why I love them. The new games aren’t as clunky and I like the old ones more hahaha

Oh gawd I wish I still had access to my Reddit account. The biggest things were how to do stats—just pumpIG to like 30 after getting enough STR and DEX to use what ya want.

Another huge thing for me was getting a weapon I actually liked. The twinblade is obtainable super early on and carried me through a loooot of the game.

Another hint was for when I felt really weak but didn’t want to grind forever, there’s a portal to a place where you can just run up and down the map, sneaking and backstabbing dudes for 1k runes each. It’s behind the Third Church of Marika, in the bushes.

I did a DEX twinblade build and once I figured out upgrading it, it ROCKED. Keep a mace or flail handy as well for when you go into caves.

Peak internet meetup for me was /b/, shockingly. A Scientology protest. Went with my partner-at-the-time, wearing V masks. Met a lot of genuinely fun, regular people.

There were like 50+ people who showed up. It was wild!

I just download em. SMRPG worked perfectly on day one, which was nuts. TotK took some time, but now it’s 1440p/60 and mods! MODS!

Real. The One was shit, horrid loading times and framerate. The S and X are excellent pieces of technology. I say this as someone who quit consoles after the PS3/Wii/360.

I stopped playing console after PS3/Wii/360 and only play computer now. I still use a Dualsense for controller games, it’s an amazing controller.

I also alternate between Switch Pro and Dualsense! Lots of games don’t have PlayStation icons and I can deal with that sometimes, but some games I NEED the button prompts.

It’s much shorter but fucking DIFFICULT. Most boss fights are pretty smooth, but two in specific are insanely difficult. One of them bonkers difficult.

When I rate a movie 7/10, I’m saying it’s a great movie that’s DEFINITELY worth a watch. Some of my favorite movies are 6/10.

When these people rate a shit game 7/10, they mean “it needs improvement.”

If Starfield was a movie, it’d be rated as a 4-5/10. It’s okay. It’s fine, but it’s not revolutionary. It’s mediocre at best. That’s a five. It’s worse than The Outer Worlds, which is maybe a six.
