Its been a catastrophic year for gaming. Especially with how great some of the releases are. Yet still, by the end, a lot has been left in shambles or destroyed.
No, almost no developer is independent and not beholden to some profit monger. Larian could do that because they didn’t have shareholders breathing down their neck telling them to ship the game now.

The comparison is moot. Most of us have never seen Everest. I mean even in their last game, I’m sure if they just pulled some world mesh above the clouds and made sure there was a path you could do the same Everest climb. We went to space without a loading screen lol
Nobody really should. Just take the games that are directly tied and who cares about the rest. They are their own stories, not everything has to be serialized.
I guess thats kind of glaring. But like who cares where Oracle of Seasons is placed? The first game? LoZ 2? Most of these games, it doesnt really matter how consistent they are. But damn, I thought TotK was a sequel to BotW. Kinda like Ocarina and Majora.

Homie, I’m sorry but open world really just means its one map and it implies you might be able to go anywhere on the horizon. Rain World has an open world, Elder Scrolls definitely does except for Arena, pretty much any MMO, Astroneer, your OLD GAME No Man’s Sky is open world. Seriously take a step back from your own project and breath for 4 hours before making announcements. That being said, Light No Fire looks ridiculously good and I can’t wait for it.
Oh yes! Funny, I was going to comment somewhere else on this chain about Ultima’s ecosystem that was present at launch and quickly removed. The players just killed everything with no regard, which was not taken into account when designing the system.
So I’m left wondering, first real what? Ultima had an open world and ecosystem, rain world has an open world and ecosystem, Spore even has an open world and its ecosystem is not really an ecosystem. This game looks great, I’ve wishlisted it. But they clearly need help with the marketing so it doesn’t just sound like Randomly Generated Survival Game 3498.
I’m gonna watch it. Plot-wise there is so much you could do. What will really make or break it is the props and atmosphere. All you gotta do is have some 1950/60s retrofuture.
After Crytek had thoroughly fucked them, yes. Much of the key people were the same and thats really what I referred to. The Old Guarde did not survive a second fall.
More importantly, people who directly influenced my childhood via Goldeneye and the original TS were in there when it went down again. To them, I give the mightiest of salutes.
If you look it up it is apparently a common issue with the dock. There is an issue after being put to sleep with detecting hdmi input. You have to unplug the AC adapter for 30 seconds, put it back in, and then the tv and dock will play nice.
From what I read, its not the TV. But who knows, six year olds aren’t really going to do that every time to play games. They like Spyro, Rain World, Untitled Goose Game, just random stuff they’ve seen me play.
Thats just one of those bullshit things that will have to be a matter of willpower. They are legally allowed tk target children with their products. I have the downloads restricted on their tablets and just never approve Roblox when they ask for it. They did uninstall runescape when I gave them that tho :(
