One way to avoid looking like a fool is to look beyond just the headline- This video starts out by saying they have more Linux installs than windows, across various VMs on SBCs.
Right, that’s what I understood. So using a VPN, a CSS will be able to identify that my phone is active, but not the content I’m accessing, or who I am accessing it from, correct?
The previous comment said VPNs do nothing against this type of attack- were they just referring to identifying your device?
I love the original patientgamers subreddit so I was stoked to find this community. And because lemmy seems to have a more knowledgeable crowd any topic I posted here had great engagement and discussions, despite the small community. As someone who is only trek-curious, the problem I often have in this sub is finding fucking amazing shit like this but not knowing which episode it is! How the fuck do I even massage that animorph broken family story into a search query?
And I am certainly not going to put ‘Doctor fucks candle ghost’ into Google.
Update: I guess I lied, because I certainly did put it into Google. Should I buy this scented candle? files.catbox.moe/fpq4i8.png

I’ve been thinking about making this thread for a few days. Sometimes, I play a game and it has some very basic features that are just not in every other game and I think to myself: Why is this not standard?! and I wanted to know what were yours....
I think the key here is integrating loading into the gameplay. The old Metroid trick of having the player traverse a basic hallway while the game loads the next area in the background is a good, if basic, example.
I beg you, if you are a developer of an open source app or program - add screenshots of your app to the README file. When looking for the perfect app, I had to install dozens of them just to see what the user interface looked like and whether it suits me. This will allow users to decide if the app they choose will suit them…...
