Do you think people would be okay with 'Recall' if Apple did it?

With the recent WWDC apple made some bold claims about privacy when it comes to so called Apple Intelligence. This makes me wonder if they did something to what Microsoft did with Recall feature, would people be less concerned and to an extend praise their effort?...

nick,

So because she didn’t check herself, you might say she wrecked herself.

nick,

As an American this is depressing, Canada was always me mental escape hatch. “Well I’ll just move to Canada if shit gets to bad here”

Which I know is hella reductive and not nearly as simple as it sounds, but who needs logic

nick,

“Why do people pirate?”

Ya fuckin morons.

nick,

Be cooler if she killed two cops tbh

nick,

Sure thing, it is.

Try again pal, it’s about appeasing shareholders.

nick,

Looks like scorn, but instead of giger as the inspiration it’s beksinski

I’m in.

nick,

Systemd. Nuke it from fucking orbit.

nick,

I finally figured out calibre and dedrm. Spent a weekend downloading each Amazon ebook purchase, one by one, and stripping out the drm. Now I have 500 sone epubs in my library that I can use some books or a kobo to read.

nick,

What’s the context here, did someone break down?

If so, awesome.

nick,

Ants as a distributed computer capable of running… “ai” let’s call it… was pretty brilliant, if somewhat far fetched.

Definitely a novel concept!

nick,

Is this an always online game? If not, im sure wemod will have cheats for it soon enough to give you these items.

nick,

It’s not a success in my eyes. I beat the game, played season one for an evening and said “this is boring I’m going back to diablo3”

nick,

I like it because it feels so much faster than 4, and I can disconnect my brain and mono my way to glory

Google Allows Creditors to Brick Your Phone (lemmy.world)

I installed NetGuard about a month ago and blocked all internet to apps, unless they’re on a whitelist. No notifications from this particular system app (that can’t be disabled) until recently when it started making internet connection requests to google servers. Does anyone know when this became a thing?...

nick,

The game had a satisfying final quest? Did I miss it??

nick,

It was fine, just not anything all that amazing. I did finish it

nick,

Seconded this. Been paying for a long time now, no regrets.

nick,

I don’t give a heck, I ain’t playin’ that terf ass shit.

nick,

not interested, not even if it’s free

Me

nick,

Too late, i uninstalled it last month after not playing for months.

nick,

Placing a billion conveyor belts, strip mining a planet with no regard to the pollution I caused, and full scale genocide against the native bugs who already lived there.

Sorry, biters, I gotta launch my rocket.

nick,

lol it takes time to get the hang of it. I’m 2500 hours in and have the method down finally.

Also make use of blueprints! It makes things easier

nick,

Wayyyyyyyyy easier with blueprints. I still can’t quite figure out train signals so I let blueprints handle it for me.

This run I’m going robots/main bus, but the logistics train network is pretty fun too, for huge scale. Could start doing trains around the time you start red belts, I bet.

nick,

Factorio, but satisfactory is also good!

nick,

“Gob” is also what coal miners call the leftover shit in the coal tailings. Why do I know this, what the hell brain

nick,
nick,

Doesn’t matter to me, I ain’t playing this shit.

nick,

I’m playing the demo. It’s a cute mix of factorio (crafting and automation) and creature collecting kinda.

I’m enjoying it
