What happens in November is up to Biden – it will not be the fault of the protest voter if Trump is elected. The questions remain: does the Democratic party fear Trump as much as we do? And does it value its voters enough to shift away from an approach to the onslaught in Gaza that a majority of Democratic voters are against?
If you loose an arm or a leg as a russian fighter, you are not gonna survive. Doubtful you will even be looked at twice. A wounded russian is a MIA russian. Russia is a cold place. Not just literally.

Difficult indeed. Maybe banning him from owning a computer or graphics card capable of running local models. Installing spyware on his devices. I’m sure he could get around it, undetected, for a while, if he was determined. But he would be gambling at getting caught.
To be honest I don’t really see the point. We are getting to a point where anyone can generate any image of anything at any time. Let him have his fun. We can’t sexual conversion therapy him and he isn’t hurting anyone. Ones and zeroes, bits and bytes.
For anyone who thinks conversion therapy works; imagine someone trying to convert you from your sexuality. Let’s say I tried to make you gay. Would that ever work for you?
As long as russia remains a dictatorship, they will continue. Enriching a handful at the expense of everyone else. The dictatorship is not going to govern itself responsibly. Only outside pressure helps them do that.
Putin is cleaning Russia of its undesirable population while stealing land from its neighbours. I suspect there are many moscovites that think this is a great thing.
The trump campaign is asking downballot Republican candidates for 5% of the proceeds for every fundraising appeal they send out that uses Trump’s name, image and likeness
Only recently did Sweden change rules that had every newborn be automatically registered with the Swedish church. The majority that are registered probably never practice, nor think about or visit a church, ever, in their lives, except maybe when they get married. If you exit the church, you loose the right to have your marriage and funeral in a church. Pretty sure the 37.9% is misleading in that regard.
If the fine would be based the offender’s means or calculated as x daily income, he might feel it. Give him a 60 day-fine for a social media post. Or just take a percentage of his assets when he breaks the rules.
It’s just a little fantasy of mine. America doesn’t seem to have consequences for the ruling/owner class, baring some extreme circumstances.
Smoking does cost society money. Where medical care is subsidised by the public; we sure should prevent people from making money of selling self destructive stuff.
Or the rest of the worlds politicians would size up, clench their cheeks and go “no-no-no-no”. And then do nothing, hoping it solves it self. Feels more in line with what we are seeing.
By now, everyone in the world knows that American tipping culture is getting out of hand. That doesn’t mean you can’t introduce another way of “supporting” creators. Mike Ybarra, the former president of Blizzard, shared his desire to tip developers of especially enjoyable games....
Let’s make it mandatory that 15-20% of gross sales be given directly to developers, once sales start. That would fix this. Customers can choose within that range. But let’s make it default to 20%.
It’s gonna fuel the largest immigration wave ever. Which in turn will fuel right wing politics and destabilise democracies, which will make solutions even more elusive, and allow decision makers more procrastination.
Yes, the influx of people fuels economies that run on the infinite growth model, which is most economies. However, if you double your population over night, you’re gonna have a bad time. Of course the infinite growth model is also inherently unsustainable and partly responsible for our current situation.

How do you exterminate an entire population? You can use zyklon B chambers. But inescapable famine works too. Not sure which one stresses the victim out more.
So the conclusion is that there are rape happening on both sides in a war. That is somewhat unsurprising considering they hate each other and are distinctly different groups of people. Why is it being tolerated by the organisations involved? Probably they are not prioritizing the issue. Why would they deny that it is happening? Probably for PR reasons. They prefer dealing with it internally, at a later date, when it is convenient.
Neither did I. I may still not understand it. But I googled salon article and found a site with that name that publishes progressive news and opinions. So I guess they are saying a lot of couples are opposite in opinion on these things. They might be joking about the one spouse being oblivious to their partners racism or having double standards or something.
