Something like TOTK/BOTW/Horizon?...
This is a weird thought but I'm just curious if anyone else feels this way. I'm 39 and grew up playing games all the way back to the original Atari and I just feel weird about the term "beat" when it comes to finishing games. I don't know why, but I just feel like it's weird to say nowadays. I'm talking specifically about story...
I'll go first. Deranged Spiderman with guns
2023 is shaping up to be one of the best years for gaming in ages. From Tears of the Kingdom to Diablo IV to Street Fighter 6, it's already been a pretty great year, with quite a few big-budget releases coming later this year...
I am curious to see if there are other digital distribution platforms similar to GOG which focus on DRM-free games.
I love Indie game but I want to hear people opinion about their top AAA games. For me (from the newest to oldest) it is Red Dead Redemption 2, The Witcher III, Skyrim. Openworld RPG are sure my favorites!
Curious what yall are playing and if im the only one who can't complete games :p
Is anyone else sick and tired of how many games these days are focused around gun fighting? IMO, FPS games haven't markedly improved since the original counter strike which I played as a CHILD. Frankly, I just wish we could all stop obsessing over guns and come up with something new....
I picked up Just Cause 2 after a long time of not playing it a little while ago and I had a bit of a realization.......
so ive been playing d4 for a while now and though I like it in general, its only a poor excuse of what PoE offers....
I played it two days ago and can't get it out of my head. I absolutely love the premise and it truly feels like a dark fantasy....
If not, how do we get one going? I'm new to Lemmy and /r/FreeGameFindings + /r/AppLab are the top subs that I would want to see recreated here!
I just beat the final boss of TotK and felt like there was a disconnect. I feel like BotW had more back story upfront for characters.
I'll keep this spoiler-free....
Looking for some games where it feels like you're actually trying to solve something with the clues and secrets you uncover. For example, Disco Elysium actually made me feel like a detective despite how wacky and surreal it could be....
Mine is vehicle building games like Stormworks or Scrap Mechanic. It's so much fun to shoot at your friends with your latest nuclear drone while hiding in your bunker with a better defence system than Area 51 !...
I've been getting really into Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines and Redemption, old school Runescape, Ragnarok Online, Arcanum, Diablo II, and other old classics lately, and I'm looking for more 90s/early 00s PC games that will run on my new Thinkpad E15 G4 running Arch Linux.
My kid is coming up on age 3 and I've been able to play Mariokart with him. He always loses obviously as he can barely understand the concept of 'forward'!...
I'm looking for communities of street fighter 6 or just fighting games in general. Anyone know if any, I can't seem to find one 😔
I like not just CRPG, but specifically scifi and/or post apocalyptic CRPG. I’ve replayed the first two Fallout games umpteeth times. Wasteland 2 and 3, while being tactical CRPGs rather than singular character driven ones are high on my list of great games....
My friends and I have been exhausting our current library of games and are looking for suggestions. It tends to be pretty hard for us to all meet at the same time. Usually we prefer to do stuff that we can finish in one session on the weekends because one person might have to leave as another person joins. Don't mind if its new...
I'm looking for some fun PC games I can play with my wife/nephews. I'm therefore looking for PC games that support split screen with controller support. Any genre, but preferably games that can be played by someone no older than 12. Will be playing them on a ROG Ally connected to a TV with xbox controllers. Interested in any...
Whether it be video, board, card, etc., what are your favorite games to play with large groups of friends?...
For example veloren...
