Siegfried,

Inflation is falling, but It hasn’t fall to prior milei times yet. The situations is strange, but in general, we are waiting (or hoping, idk anymore) that it will continue going down. Strange thing to see, bank investment rates (idk the correct term in english) are going down and are lower for longer investment periods. Some prices have skyrocketed for the working class* (gas, electricity) and other are either in the same place as 3 months ago or plummeting (food, general goods, misc.).

Most of the fuzz heard on the news are policitally guided, which is sad cause this truly means that at the end we just dont care about anything anymore.

*dont even think that the working class is the lower class here, if a real crisis really hits that lower piece of the cake, we are all done, with the lunatic of milei and the freaking nazicommunists of the kirchners included.

Siegfried,

With 10% annually, it just affects your long term plans. Both prices and sallaries are kind of adjusted in the way, but you still manage to think about making a small vacation or something. Here most people is not “financially formed” and would “invest” in things that just hold their value. Think of buying gold per Kg with any remaining dollars you have.

With 10% monthly you are pretty much fried cause you truly dont know what is going to happen in the next month. Prices kind of lose meaning and you start to be more attentive on basic needs. The milk is 2k AR$. Is it much? Idk, but I need it, so i buy it.

I never experienced 10% daily (my parents did), but i feel that it is still somehow better. With that rate the economy just crashes, debts are pardon, schools make exceptions, healthcare just works. Its a terrible mess, but it has an end… or so they say.

Siegfried,

Everything should have a carbon tax. Someone once told me, “but who would pay for that tax?” Implying that we will be the ones to pay it. Thats the freaking idea.

Siegfried,

This is correct. I think you are underestimating the quantity of persons who care about this in both countries, but then again, we both have currently worst things to deal with.

Siegfried,

We call it the great sex recession in some circles

Siegfried,

My hypothesis is that mankind unconciously sorted out that earth its not gonna hold much longer with the size of our population and decided to apply the sex breaks.

Whatever the cause is, it’s good to know that our best scientists are doing their best to make a better world both developing AIs and robots. Sex robots are on the next corner. And luckly, microplastics are making us dumber, so we will have a higher and faster acceptance of them too.

Siegfried,

Enter the IAEA web page, there you will find that not even IAEA rhinks of nuclear energy as a replacement. Thats because uranium reserves arent infinite. Once conventional uranium mines run out of uranium, we will have to go for the non conventional ones and prices will go up the paradigm IAEA professes is nuclear is excellent as a transition techonology (they also include natural gas as a transition techonology) to a fully renewable energy market.

Also, its generally not advisable to have more than a 10% of nuclear energy.

We have to cut the demand.

Siegfried,

Wait, should i add another anime to the apologists list?

Siegfried,

What did he do to his brother to compare it with fcking Mengele?

Siegfried,

Why would I want to be a talentless motherfucker?

Mexico is heading towards its most violent election ever, with 30 candidates murdered, 77 threatened and 11 kidnapped (english.elpais.com)

More than 170 attacks have been committed against politicians in the lead-up to the June elections. This violence has put campaigns under tension and is sowing doubts about governability in several regions. Specialists warn that the line between the Mexican state and organized crime is increasingly blurred...

Siegfried,

Mas alla de que sea cierto lo que decis, me sigue pareciendo una locura pensar en que rapten o asesinen candidatos por una eleccion. Hay alguna tendencia entre las victimas? Son de algun partido en particular?

Siegfried,

OP, if there was a viable way of making communism work, some one would have done it already. And inb4 if external pressure and/or internal grinding makes your system collapse, then it does not work

Siegfried,

Maybe the inland residents the ones that are protesting… what we call Venice doesent look to have a lot of residents apart from some particular places

Siegfried,

USA was on the top of the mountain of shit, but russia did its own part backing local terrorism.

Siegfried,

This is kind of what happened in Argentina, and parties response to it just made everything worse.

Siegfried,

Oh no, if we take russian assets they may reach Paris in 3576 AD

Siegfried,

Its a pretty wild neighborhood to begin with…

Siegfried,

Holy shit, i just took that same freaking screenshot…

Argentina asks to join NATO as President Milei seeks a more prominent role for his nation (apnews.com)

Argentina formally requested on Thursday to join NATO as a global partner, a status that would clear the way for greater political and security cooperation at a time when the right-wing government of President Javier Milei aims to boost ties with Western powers and attract investment....

Siegfried,

We are not, milei drop that when he became president

Siegfried,

Officialy? China bad, russian commies bad, US hell yeah, israel the superior race, eagles and freedom rules!!

Unofficially? Who knows. China and the US have been arm wrestling here for different topics. For example, we are buying f16 because USA gave a counteroffer so we dont buy chinese jets (now, staying close to nato could just be a way to ensure that we get f16 spare parts). The same happened (many times) when we were debating about buying a chinese PWR.

Now there is some fuzz about who controls the pass near tierra del fuego. China was building a restricted port and they already have a military base. US is now doing it too, but at least they promise to do it in colaboration with us… if this thing is real, it would be a miracle if we end the next decade still controlling Patagonia.

Siegfried,

And Americans are ~40% german descendants, that’s why they are helping Israel perpetrate this genocide in every possible way!

See that? That is racism. It’s a pretty bad thing.

Siegfried,

Nah, they tuned their tactics a lot, that’s why they went from losing every battle with a 10r:1g ratio to win them with a 3r:1g ratio.

Siegfried,

I remember from Churchill’s memories that he mentions as a rule of thumb (based on his experiences in both world wars) that a country needs something like 4 years to put the ammo industry up the conflict requirements… anyway, this isn’t (yet) ww2 by 2 orders of magnitude.

Ukraine backers blast ‘double standard’ after allies rush to Israel’s defense (www.politico.eu)

If the United States and its allies can rush to Israel’s defense in the skies, shooting down dozens of drones and missiles fired by Iran, why can’t they do the same for Ukraine — which has suffered under Russia’s missile attacks for more than two years?...

Siegfried,

Downing a plane full of women going to an abortion clinic to stop those abortions sounds plausible for GOP, according to what I learned on the internet.

Siegfried,

This feels like watching Rick and morty’s interdimensional cable

Siegfried,

EU should be heavily investing in this war… unless they already decided the fate of ukraine and are letting the efforts against Russia to stall. Each country is different anyway, some have to balance arm exports with the reaction of the people political support, others may be fearing a future escalation of the war if Ukraine ends collapsing and prefer to arm themselves.

Just as the efforts to achieve net zero emissions: its all just acting, nobody will move a finger when the moment of action comes.

Siegfried,

That pov only has value inside of america. This is a two sided sword, conservatives acted against it, democrats didnt do enough, and from outside, america choosed to let ukraine rot.

Thinking retrospectively, It’s a good thing that they stoped their counteroffensive last year and ended up distributing forces in the multiple fronts.

Siegfried,

You can’t prove the second statement. We think that it may not cause gonorrhea

Siegfried,

They allow them, just as they allow aid trucks

Siegfried,

Good thing that I don’t have children to experience the fucking Apokalypse

Siegfried,

What makes you so sure? As I see it, it could be that or illegals… maybe there is a synergistic relationship beetween the two?

Siegfried,

Ireland yes, but after all the referendum’s comes and goes, i believe that Britain will get independence before Scotland does.

Siegfried,

Well, he is right, its mass murdering, but not genocide.

Siegfried,

How is israel going to bomb embassies around the zone if they dont have jets silly?

Siegfried,

Cuando fuimos ejemplo de que hay que hacer? Desde 1930 que solo la cagamos

Siegfried,

Well, you just convinced me OP, I’m on beer diet now

Siegfried,

Maybe they were just testing reaction time

Siegfried,

I thought GPS had been kept restricted from civilians for ages for its military uses, I may be wrong though

Siegfried,

As refreshing as it is to hear ML keyboards cracking, this is not a meme, nor a shitpost and even being a meme, there is a community for that

Siegfried,

1917 has to be my favorite WW2 movie of all time

Siegfried,

Naah, its funnier this way

Siegfried,

Thanks

Siegfried,

I love how Americans opened the “nuking of a civilian target” debate with “sometimes is justified” as their first card.

A Loyal Israel Ally, Germany Shifts Tone as the Toll in Gaza Mounts (www.nytimes.com)

Days after Hamas launched its Oct. 7 attacks on Israel, Germany’s chancellor, Olaf Scholz, was one of the first Western leaders to arrive in Tel Aviv. Standing beside the Israeli prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, he declared that Germany had “only one place — and it is alongside Israel.”...

Siegfried,

This is a pretty big step for Germany. I’m more concerned with USA not shifting the actions yet.
