clay_pidgin,

That looks fun as heck, and I wasn’t a particular MMPR fan growing up.

clay_pidgin,

If any of you are interested in what it was like tracing a hacker back then, I HIGHLY recommend the book The Cuckoo’s Egg by Clifford Stohl.

clay_pidgin,

Was that the game with the huge map of the U.S. ? I saw a video about that game being killed and was sorry I missed it.

clay_pidgin,

Woah, I don’t remember it looking like dog ass!

clay_pidgin,

About half of the songs on every album are completely original. He’s a much better musician than one might think.

📄 rule (sh.itjust.works)

alt-textIt blows our hivemind that the United States doesn’t use the ISO 216 paper size standard (A4, A5 and the gang). Like, we consider ourselves worldly people and are aware of America’s little idiosyncrasies like mass incarceration, the widespread availability of assault weapons and not being able to transfer money via...

clay_pidgin,

How many have yours got? More or fewer?

I have seen legal/letter sized clipboard with two rings, for the short end of the paper.

clay_pidgin,

Anything Utopia Planetia put out in the 2300s has a problem with buffeting when you go past warp six. It comes down to the heisenberg compensators, which were carried over from the old Mirandas to save a bit of cost. Starfleet fans will tell you that’s a myth, but try it; you’ll see.

Give me a Bajoran solar sailor any day. Now THOSE were real star trekkers. Hand crafted in a shed under brutal occupation is where you find the best ships, for my dollar.

clay_pidgin,

That’s extremely interesting, thank you for sharing it!

clay_pidgin,

They seemed like good quality and great designs, but I could never swing $30-50 for a glorified Micromachine to put on my shelf. I’m jelly of people who have them, though!

clay_pidgin,

I’ve been quite happy with their doughnuts.

clay_pidgin,

AND NONE OF THE SOULS WERE REFRIGERATED!

clay_pidgin,

I haven’t read about any chaos, though I don’t doubt it. What have you heard about?

clay_pidgin,

Ah, now that I HAD heard early on.

clay_pidgin,

I don’t use V.A.T.S. at all; never have. Getting a decent gun early game and going for headshots has served me well.

clay_pidgin,

I’ve never played a Homeworld game, but I’ve been mildly interested for 15 or twenty years. What game should I try first?

clay_pidgin,

Thank you, that’s helpful.

clay_pidgin,

That looks kind of neat. Is it basically a point and click adventure?

clay_pidgin,

I think that if you exclude the “Oxford” comma in your example you end up inviting President JFK as well as the hit grunge band “Stalin and the Strippers”.

clay_pidgin,

I would think the artist has a copyright by default as usual but that the license is irrevocably transferred to the wearer when money is transferred. If the artist retained the license anyone with a tattoo would need to pay a license fee whenever they use their own likeness for work, which is crazy.

It’s a strange, fun, question for sure!

clay_pidgin,

I think it’s an unpopular opinion generally, but I do love a musical episode. Subspace Rhapsody was particularly good because the characters could tell they were singing.

clay_pidgin,

lemmy.ca/comment/8661357 there you go.

clay_pidgin,

For me to happen into the comment section after you, and after someone else had posted the link? No.

clay_pidgin,

You can DM if you want to avoid spoiling OP, but what gun do you get in vault 81?

clay_pidgin,

If you have the traders set up between your settlements with the Local Leader perk, you can choose to make food and water in one place and let it get distributed automatically. . The bandit raids are based on how much food and water settlements have, so most of your settlements will get raided only rarely. There is a downside, which is that every dang settler in the other towns will complain that there isn’t enough food and water, because they don’t know to look at the trader network.

Also, raids spawn in a place randomly clean from list for each settlement. Building walls isn’t going to save you in every settlement because there is often a spawn location within the settlement. I’m not still salty about it after building a wall and turrets and lights all the way around sanctuary’s island only to have raids down in the middle of the settlement, why do you ask?

Also, I’ve never used VATS in a 3d fallout game, so be aware it’s totally possible to just skip it entirely and save your points for other skills.

clay_pidgin,

Huh, I must have missed that. I thought guns that shot twice used double ammo?

'Run, run, run': Chaos at a Sydney mall as 6 people stabbed to death, and the suspect fatally shot (apnews.com)

A man stabbed six people to death at a busy Sydney shopping center Saturday before he was fatally shot, police said, with hundreds fleeing the chaotic scene, many weeping as they carried their children. Eight people, including a 9-month-old, were injured....

clay_pidgin,

That says three quarters of gun owners claim self defense as the reason, it doesn’t say three quarter of Americans own guns for self defense.

clay_pidgin,

There’s a c/animorphs@sh.itjust.works if you want to relive them.

clay_pidgin,

What a coincidence that OJ died on the same day as Nicole Brown’s killer. What were the odds.

clay_pidgin,

Anyone curious and not in the know:

This is the station information screen in a Washington D.C. Metro (subway) station.

First column is Line, blue, blue, orange.

Car is how long the train is. (This one is pretty obvious)

Destinations are Foggy Bottom, Largo, and New Carrollton.

Last column is how many minutes until the train arrives and the floor lights start blinking.

The DC Metro is great, and it hardly ever catches on fire.

clay_pidgin,

For me, the worst thing about April Fool’s day is that Think Geek shut down in…2019? They always had a great joke products on the front page, and every once in a while they’d actually make and sell some of them.
