Ya fuck that. That’s why I have an IOT vlan, though even that has its caveats. Nest speakers with microphones and your sleep apnea machine have some good personal data gathering capabilities despite it.

I found a box of CD-Roms and floppy disks in my mum’s basement and damnit, I want to play them! I could use emulators, DosBox or VMs but it’s never quite the same as having the real thing, so between an eBay mobo and a box of old parts I managed to build my new gaming rig to cover 1990-2005....
So…after watching latest Noclip video, I was having a bit of a Wipeout itch…I have a rather decent gaming computer, but I was wondering what would be the best way to play the wipeout series…was 2097 the best one? Is there a good way to get it running at decent resolution/effects these days?...
I said the law looks at whether it was authorized access or not, I was not citing any literal lines from the law. Didn’t read the article because I know this already because of the industry I work in and I took a course a number of years ago that literally was about this.
I tired Linux a few times in the past, but didn’t really start using seriously until 2019. I love poking around old OSs and distros, and I want to spin a few up in some VMs my next free evening....
Part of the problem I noticed today is a lot of political parties that are “left” or “right” in name are not even like that anymore. Some are more center now, for example. Some of the parties here I don’t even think are left when they say they are. They have some right winged tendencies in certain areas but not on others. The lines are blurred.

Way too much bad press about Asus recently, can’t agree more. I’d still go for a steam deck first. They’re also helping Linux which I’m also in favor of 😂
I’m considering switching to linux but I’m not a computer savvy person, so I wanted to have the option to switch back to windows if unforeseen complications (I only have 1 pc). Is it just a download on usb and install? And what ways can I get the product key or “cleaner” debloated versions.
Story time, I once was reinstalling windows and I could not remember which drive had all my important data on it and I was getting ready to go out. But windows xp installer was on the disk selection screen and I couldn’t remember which disk was windows and which was my data. I said fuck it I’ll figure it out later. I get home and my monitor is off. I jam enter a bunch of times to wake it up. Woops. Installed windows on my data drive.
I’m usually too lazy to click into those things, when I’m on my phone I use Firefox focus and just accept all be cause as soon as I’m done viewing the site it’s all gone anyways
Yeah, a while haha. They were separate from the big 3 and after one of them pissed me off I was done with the monopoly 🤣. They’ve only gotten better and better. Right now they even have the 35/mo plan with north America coverage.

I saw the trailer for demons souls and I just bought it. I loved it so much, hands down one of my favorites. Since then I’ve bought every souls game and I binge them hard putting in hundreds of hours. They’re top shelf. I don’t get the hate.
Nvidia is also overpriced since COVID days. A graphics card should not cost as much as the entire rest of the computer.
Bring me back the top card for 600CAD and I could go for it. But for cards north of 1.2k, fuck that. I’d go AMD purely just because of their Linux support compared to Nvidia. But I’m holding onto my 2070 super with weak hopes prices will become sane again in the future.
I’ve been using Linux for about 7 months now and have become a lot more comfortable using the terminal but I feel like there is more that I can learn....
Use a virtual machine inside virtual box, or docker, or some other container. Back when I started the os could literally break to CLI and I’ve have to learn to fix it with Google and another computer or my phone 😅. Instead of blindly pasting commands, read the man pages. After years I have a handful of useful commands I use and I really do find it easier to do certain things from cli vs GUI. It will come with time, don’t worry.
