Yeah, my issue wasn’t with Wesley or with Wheaton. My issue was what a Mary Sue he usually was. They made progress on that front when he was involved in the death of a fellow student performing a dangerous spacecraft stunt, but lost it all and then some when the magic space Native Americans showed up to invite him to Godhood for being the most specialest boy.
True, but in this case I think the meme is referencing the poem by John Donne (which the Hemingway novel is named after):
No man is an island, Entire of itself. Each is a piece of the continent, A part of the main. If a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe is the less. As well as if a promontory were. As well as if a manor of thine own Or of thine friend’s were. Each man’s death diminishes me, For I am involved in mankind. Therefore, send not to know For whom the bell tolls, It tolls for thee.

“Denim seemed to be of sacred significance to the people of 2024. Aside from its use in religious garments (such as “jeans” and “booty jorts”) the few surviving images from the time depict its use in everything from cups and plates to staircases. Some artworks from the time seem to suggest they even considered it a part of their JeaNA.”
It’s a common trope for genies to purposefully misinterpret wishes, this one in particular being a common one where someone wishes for “a million bucks,” meaning dollars, but the genie interprets it as a million male deer and gives them that instead.
In this case, they’re subverting the trope by the wisher actually wanting the deer, to have sex with for an extra bit of shock humor.
Not as bad as those asinine game guides that all say, “How to walk: press W lololol we’re all so funny and goofy 🤪” stfu that was funny maybe once at most, now the whole community is flooded with that stupid shit.
