The Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree Steam reviews have dropped to 'mixed,' as players point at the performance and balance issues on PC. (www.pcgamesn.com)

“Right now even with 60 vigor you get one-shot by nearly every enemy that’s not pure fodder (like the classical wandering nobles in the base game),” Steam user ‘Flippikus’ writes. “And the Scadutree fragments that should make your damage and defense increase (exclusively while in the DLC) don’t help that much and...

datavoid,

Reminds me of the time I got banned from Xbox live communication for like 24 hours for writing a boss name in a looking for group post, thanks M$

datavoid,

You know you’re truly lazy when the tl;dr itself is too long

datavoid,

I was referring to myself being too lazy to read it if that was unclear

datavoid,

Why would you choose now of all times to double down on Bethesda??

Why not do something useful with Starcraft, Warcraft, or an Activision property like Guitar Hero or Tony Hawk? Bethesda has been proving for the last 8 years that they can’t keep up.

datavoid,

I got into metroid in 2014 or 2015 during the 3DS era. Someone mentioned that Super Metroid was their favourite game growing up, so I decided to give it a shot. I had only played the NDS metroid games before, so I didn’t really know what to expect.

I ended up being completely blown away, and I think I replayed the game within a year, which is incredibly rare for me - one of the only other games I can think of doing this for was the first Ori game (I have a thing for tight platformers, what can I say).

I’d say super metroid is one of my all time favourite games now, probably number 2 on the SNES to Link to the Past. In terms of influence, I’d put it up there with dark souls.

Last year I also played Prime for the first time when the remaster came out, and loved that too. Really hoping they release 2 and 3!

datavoid,

As soon as half of Americans stop watching fox news?

datavoid,

Controller optimized, and yet they still can’t make the d-pad send the correct number of button presses. There is like a 1 in 20 chance it receives 2 presses instead of one.

datavoid,

Haha ya, what a sucker! This is why I make my own gas at home.

datavoid,

Wow I had no idea this guy made these videos… Haven’t thought about them in years

datavoid,

I feel like piracy and moral superiority don’t really belong together

datavoid,

I mean the moral thing is just to not buy the product if you have an issue with it.

I have no problem with piracy, but pretending you’re some sort of hero for doing it is ridiculous

datavoid,

But damn, the Japanese really don’t like doing business with foreigners.

Truer words have never been spoken

datavoid,

I would recommend RX as well, but it is pricey if you can’t wait for a sale (and if you’re only using it once, its expensive when on sale too).

Assuming your footage isn’t super long, I’d be happy to try running it through RX for you - feel free to send me a message

datavoid,

I only play games where there us some sort of warrior on a white background

datavoid,

Reminds of the one nutjob in my city who stands on a bridge all day with huge sign saying “Tamara Lich is innocent” while he swings his Canadian flag and salutes traffic. He makes me so fucking mad 🙂

datavoid,

My experience with this setup is generally:

  • login to a black screen
  • try to switch windows or desktops, then something appears with glitchy green animations
  • get annoyed
  • go back to x

I’m sure I missed something stupid like installing drivers properly, but I’ve been too busy / lazy to fix it.

datavoid,

Thanks 🙂

datavoid,

Premium android games… is that some sort of oxymoron?

datavoid,

I feel like there is no way that site can be accurate

datavoid, (edited )

Docker is not needed for this, it just helps keep things clean.

Edit - can the next person who downvotes this please explain why I’m wrong? I have run all these services without docker with no issue.

datavoid,

I went through a phase in middle / high school where grues were constantly appearing in any story or program I made… Great times

datavoid,

Picture is clearly faked, the SNES isn’t yellow

datavoid,

I’ve played Final Fantasy Tactics a lot over the years, I like the PS1 version but the true nostalgia for me is the GBA version.

I’ve also been loving the exodos / win3x projects, DOS games were my childhood 🙂

datavoid,

Only 14 hours until your next daily reward!

datavoid,

How is the latency in moonlight? Thinking about trying it

datavoid,

I’d imagine apple has more power to give vr/ar cultural relevance than Google or MS. Apple fans are in their own extremely expensive league, and I’m sure there will be premium VR apps developed now. Even the quest 3 seems to be starting to get better software now, come to think of it.

datavoid,

All those damn libs voting for Trump, when will they learn

datavoid,

I have yet to see a usenet post that was both written by a person and not incredibly batshit insane

datavoid,

You don’t like buying 5% more points than you need for any purchase?

datavoid,

Because for years chrome was a solid choice, and most people don’t actively research browsers

datavoid,

Never heard of this being a term - what does it mean?

datavoid,

Random question - does anyone know where to find the original for android, WITHOUT involving fucking netflix?

datavoid,

Downside is that you would need a controller for usable input, and most people dont have a Bluetooth controller on them

datavoid,

Solid choices

datavoid,

Dark souls, dishonored, Zelda (probably lttp or oot).

Also probably minecraft

Mortal Kombat 1 Players Are Furious With Inclusion of Paid Fatalities (comicbook.com)

Mortal Kombat 1 players are finding themselves quite upset this week following the announcement that paid Fatalities will soon be coming to the popular fighting game. With the last few Mortal Kombat installments, NetherRealm Studios has added paid content that players can choose to purchase outside of the main game. Not only has...

datavoid,

I want to start a business so I can be hostile to customers too!

datavoid,

This is why Lemmy (previously Reddit) is hugely more appealing to me than mastodon or twitter. I want sensible discussion and useful information, not to hear what some celebrity or internet persona is thinking about while they take a shit.

datavoid,

If the great reddit exodus taught me anything, it’s that I will happily abandon something I’ve enjoyed for over 10 years as soon as it becomes obvious how self-centered its goals are.

datavoid,

Haven’t you heard, microtransactions are what make games fun!
