There’s about 3 mountains and a valley between what they did and baby mode.
I beat 5 of the bosses so far, and I’m wondering when they’re going to start being fun. Because I’m not having fun killing bosses, and every boss feels the same to fight.
The game doesn’t need to be super nerfed, but right now even From is admitting they need tweaking.

Super genius inventor. I’m not much of a comic guy either, but he was a big player in the justice league unlimited TV show that was a big part of my childhood.
A bit of a weird title, but basically what’s a game that’s more than a year old but still considered “modern” that you love? There’s no real strict definition for modern, I’d just like to see some discussion around great games that aren’t quite classics yet (but probably will be one day)....
The answer is that corporations absolutely resent customers having standards.
In an ideal world, to them, you just hand them your paycheck and passwords and keys to your house directly in exchange for nothing.
That’s what enshittification is: the slow, inevitable frog boiling rise towards that reality where consumers have absolutely no standards, and are completely comfortable with being an exploited resource, even thankful for the opportunity to be exploited. You already see that shit with Games Cash Shops as a service. All you have to do is put the skeleton of a game in there and you will instantly have a conditioned audience of goobers willing to die for you.
At this point I see anything above $40 as a red flag. Free games or $60 games and I’m almost guaranteed to be treated as the product instead of the other way around.
The third(?) Deponia game. Where you have the clones. There’s one segment where you cause a woman to lose her job, trap her in a sewer, and “offer” her a job to escape the sewer by working as an organ grinder monkey. It’s really fucked up.
Maybe not as fucked up as the puzzle where you lure a group of kids into a creepy guys van.

Ignoring the controversy for a second, I do think your writing is going to be shit if you outsource it, it just screams “I don’t give a fuck, let some intern I can’t even supervise do it”. So while this company isn’t egregious per se, the fact it exists and there’s a demand for it spells a bigger issue with the industry.
If I don’t have the talent, I’d hire the talent and work with them directly. Not hire some firm and tell them “yes we need to maximize the player engagement portfolio metric synergized meta narrative systems” and whatever other corporate words I could fit in.
Which is specifically what my post was criticizing, unless you’re going to try to tell me that doesn’t happen.
I think religious or spiritual belief itself is a compromise on your intelligence that social engineers can use to make you do anything they want… Which if you look at American politics is working like a charm for them.
As for “ire” generally my beef is with Christianity and the woo community, both of which promote harmful beliefs over safe practices just to live out a Harry Potter fantasy.
Apologies that this is not a pure gaming question, but I’d really like to hear people’s opinion on the Borderlands movie trailer and especially from people who have played the games. That’s why I’m asking here, I hope that’s ok.
Okay let me start with two heavy hitters right from the get go and don’t forget these are only personal oppinions and I absolute understand if you like those games. Good for you!...
My takeaway is that it’s only original Rogue fans that care about the delineation of the terms. Is there a modern (i.e. post 2000s game) that matches the definition of a roguelike as given in the article?
My point is that the line between the two is so blurry that I’m not convinced there’s an actual distinction other than elitism. Genre doesn’t mean “every game is exactly the same” having a wide variety in mechanics is a good thing. I don’t think having permanent upgrades outside the dungeon, for instance, is enough to make a game a different genre.
