Everyone here forgetting that this makes it dense and not fluffy otherwise we’d have put literally everything conceivable into a waffle iron.

My dude nautilus didn’t even have its own open in terminal button until 2022.

What are some hidden indie gems nobody knows about?

Which indies did you discover and would love more people to know about? I’ll start: The Pale Beyond. Not sure if it’s a hidden gem tbh, but it’s such a good story rich game. I laughed, I cried and felt the characters struggles. If you like story rich games/ choices matter, check it out.

Superfighters (original web game) and Superfighters Deluxe (on steam)

Really good 2D platform brawler based around weapon drops.

literally a rootkit bruh

Not even the linux wine hackers feel like removing the DRM just to play the game. They’d rather spend that time on an actual needed software like photoshop.

"Must Try" distros and DEs?

Hey folks! I’m getting a fresh laptop for the first time in about a decade (Framework 16) in a couple of months and am looking forward to doing some low-level tinkering both on the OS and hardware. I’m planning to convert into a “cyberdeck” with quick-release hinges for the screen since I usually use an HMD, built-in...

XFCE with Compiz as the compositor

Or just straight Compiz

Make sure you enable all the funny effects like the cube, cube animations, 3D windows, advanced window animations, transparency effects, sky box, etc.

All easy to do with compiz config manager.

the unauthorized use of another’s production, invention, or conception especially in infringement of a copyright

Piracy can often invovle legally obtained items or even bypassing item bans.

You pirate a movie by taking a real copy and sharing it with others over the internet by making more copies or by making it copyable.

Stealing a movie would be taking the real copy without paying for it.

You could both steal and pirate the movie, but in the context of modern media, the source material is usually obtained legally.

That’s why most torrents usually have the source in the title to show what it was taken from (DVD, BluRay, WEBRiP, WEB-DL, etc).

A lot of these types of media have a really great premise and initial story before it devolves into every Shonen stereotype ever and way the hell too long and specific arcs.

Like One Piece’s original formula of sea travel, pirate action, and island story worked great. It only suffered from Toei’s asanine pacing for the Anime.

Now it’s basically 99% Island and nothing else. No one even acts like pirates anymore, and each Island lasts so long it actually gets boring to watch or read.

The real crime here is that each chapter is about 15 pages, with currently 1101 chapters, yet the each anime episode is 24 minutes long and there are currently 1087 episodes.

Toei has milked this content harder than their infinite stalling in DBZ.

Sometimes I wish Fdev had done a better job of updating elite dangerous and really putting in effort for cleaning up mechanics issues.

But then I see stupidity like this and realize I am so much better off lmao. At least I have a 1:1 milky way game to play whenever I want.
