Not really, initially some countries wanted to make it a gift. After all it comes from Russian assets and Ukraine is being invaded by Russia. Now they changed it so the countries with the worlds largest economies can also profit from the assets they took from Russia.
For a dictator keeping the population repressed is of vital importance to staying in power. So shit like this is prioritized over fighting normal crimes or corruption.
I think most people can agree it’s a combination of pollution, overfishing and climate change. Probably just unclear which one of those factors in the most.
Very possible, but with all things happening it’s pretty hard to be sure it’s that and not fish growing less because they’re being poisoned by microplastics.
If that was the only way they knew they wouldn’t have done it. The Germans not knowing the enigma was cracked was a lot more important than a silly prank.
