I am always amazed how these github pages often have 0 information what the software is actually doing.

For this one too you need to follow a link on the mainpage to get to a different site that tells you its for backups. I might have missed the word backup on the github page though… Ah no, it is mentioned a few times but the context makes it hard to get that’s the purpose of the software.

I am not sure why you are getting downvoted.

The dude may have wonderful motives of not wanting the account linking and decides on his own against it to make the game more available. However he also knew it is not going to fly, so its not very difficult to imagine what will happen. I don’t see this guy being on the right side here.

Now? Like a few years back already. For me this started to get ridiculous when Paramount pulled all their Star Trek content from everywhere, putting it all in Paramount+, their own platform. I think by now this is partially reversed again.

Careful. You are waking all the people telling you that it isn’t much waste that those power plants produce and its so easy to store it long term.

The same people that like would oppose a storage like that in their own neighbourhood. I feel often people from outside Germany forget how densely populated it is, it is very hard to find area not somehow close to anyone.

And I would also never trust the promise that this storage next to my home is very definitely going to be so so safe an great.

That said, in this case I definitely feel a “put your money where your mouth is” is very much warranted. Because I have not heard of anyone anywhere doing exactly what you are offering. It really needs to be weight/price or size/price then. The way this sounds in the article the producers just also need to change price a little to avoid getting that sign. Per weight or size that might still end up more expensive for the consumer.

The thing is, that won’t work well either. The UK had a very special position previously in the EU, like not adopting the Euro as currency and many other extra “perks” or whatever you want to call it. If they go back in they will likely not get any of those since otherwise it will look really bad for other countries that recently joined. Then people will be unhappy about joining again because it is not what they remembered. So, no, there is no winning with this one, damage is done.

Its not open source but neither are most of the apps it connects to.
