We need to stop giving Trump (and the other neonazis that have surfaced in his wake) the village-idiot or bat-shit-crazy pass and treat him as though his actions are lucid and calculated. What it’s meant or actually useful for, vs how it’s used in contexts like employment are significantly mismatched.

It’s like understanding what a framing hammer is supposed to be used for and how to do so properly and safely, only to turn the news on and learn that the general population is somehow convinced that they’re for eye surgery; and thousands of ER visits later, from dumbasses who DIY’d that shit and popped their eyes, the general population has learned… not a damn thing… they’re still bashing their eyes apart with framing hammers.

No - it comes with a seasoning packet, a pouch of crispy fried onions, a chili paste packet, oil (sesame?) packet, and some kind of sauce packet that looks like soy sauce but doesn’t taste like it… /shrug.

For best results, save the fried onion until JUST before you eat it, and sprinkle it on top - stays crispy that way.

Also if you put an egg in the water as soon as you put the pot on heat, it’ll be perfectly soft-boiled when the noodles are ready.

Nice. I remember thinking even in his initial campaign for 2016 that if he wins, there might be a silver lining of benefit we could get out of it, in the same way that a hangover is beneficial for an alcoholic: it’ll suck, but it might slap some sense into people who wake up that next morning and decide they’re never letting that happen again.

…unfortunately that didn’t really happen on a large scale, but this hits close enough to that mark that I’ll take it.

I used to work in food service - I remember one day they replaced all the pans with new ones that had a black Teflon coating… about 6 months later, ALL of the black, except a little bit around the edge, was completely gone. Just bare metal. All of it flaked off into our customers’ food.
