Localhorst86,

Fart for the position you want, not the position you have.

Localhorst86,

I am not falling for that stupid trick again. Everyone knows planes don’t use blinker fluid because that would freeze during flight, they use plasma.

Localhorst86,

That’s an insult to beautiful cunts around the world

its complete trash and dont understand why people seem to love it so much but its huge.

back when we stil cared, the fact that it was complete trash was why we loved it.
We looked forward to a bunch of people wearing tinfoil suits performing the most eurodance song you could imagine.
Or polish girls pointlessly churning butter and washing clothes on stage in an oversexualized fashion.
Or one of the most epic sax performances.
Or just Lordi being Lordi

Particularly, because the ESC was always commented by a radio moderator named Peter Urban who would make the snarkiest remarks about any perfomers.
No one I know cares about the “serious” performances. Every year, we wait for the ridiculous, over-the-top, pointless performances. Very rarely does the ESC produce an actually good song.

Localhorst86,

I can only recommend Randall Munroe’s books “what if”, " how to" and “what if 2”. They are really entertaining comedy.

Localhorst86,

That one, I wasn’t a big fan of. But maybe that’s because I am not a native English speaker. Maybe its better for native speakers.

Localhorst86,

I wonder at what point newsweek became this trash. I do remember about 20 years ago, we used printed Newsweek magazines in our english curiculum in school as a tool to learn a foreign language, but at no point were it’s articles anywhere near as bad is they are on their website.

Localhorst86,

I like how the logo on their shirts resembles hands “groping” a peach.

Localhorst86,

The extra “A” stands for “Asshole”

Localhorst86,

The game had a free-to-play weekend a few months ago, and I must say that it was somewhat disappointing, particularly in terms of gameplay, but not “aweful”. I personally find the monetization model repulsive. The game is just barely half a year old, but it already has 3 season passes for $10 each. It remains on my wishlist for whenever it is available as a complete bundle for a few euros, but I definately don’t see me getting it anytime soon.

As far as gameplay goes, I much prefered the Lego Expansion for Forza Horizon 4 back then.

As far as playing it on the steam deck: It played fine I wasn’t able to notice any framedrops, but the fan was spinning up more than I would have expected, given the graphics.

EDIT: If you’re looking for a fun “toy racer”, you might be interested on Hot Wheels Unleashed: store.steampowered.com/sub/730504/It also suffered from a predatory monetization model when it was released, but the GOTY edition is a complete bundle. I’d recommend not getting its sequel (Hot Wheels Unleashed 2), until it too gets the GOTY treatment as a complete bundle.

Localhorst86,

While quest users can already play steam games using Oculus Link/AirLink or VirtualDesktop (which is a paid app), not having to use metas desktop app sounds like a win to me.

I am also hoping this will finally be an easy way to stream VR games using a Linux system?

Localhorst86,

tbh, that’s exactly what I had in mind, If no one else has tried that, I am going to give it a shot later.

Localhorst86,

care to elaborate?

Localhorst86,

that is unfortunate.

Localhorst86,

Sure, why not. The internet is a great tool for discourse and voicing your opinion. However, not being able (or willing) to elaborate your opinion in basic terms alienates other people and is not good netiquette.

Localhorst86,

as far as I know, OG Quest support has been fully deprecated with an update very early this year.

I believe it is no longer possible for developers to release new software builds compatible with the OG quest’s API level, so even if Valve wanted to support it, they couldn’t

Localhorst86,

Game Mill released 5 games so far this year:

  • Avatar The Last Airbender - Quest For Balance
  • Skull Island: Rise Of Kong
  • Dreamworks All-Star Kart Racing
  • Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2
  • The Walking Dead: Destinies

3 of which have been received poorly (Avatar, Rise of Kong and Walking Dead), the other two apparently got a mixed reception, but still reek of shovelware,

Make no mistake, Game Mill is a publisher notorious for pushing out crap shovelware titles. The infamous 2003 game “Big Rigs” was also their doing. Anything they release, should be avoided.

Localhorst86,

If we try to exclude the super simple and cheap games by only looking at games priced at more than $5, the median is closer to $4000

just because a game is more than $5, doesn’t mean it’s not super simple, cheap shovelware.
