How is it that the general response to this debate is “Trump rambled nonsensically and told conflicting lies and wants to undermine democracy, but Biden was recovering from a cold, so he’s unfit.”

Like in what world are these issues comparable?

The biggest thing people are complaining about was Biden was a little hoarse against Trump’s booming nonsensical rambling.

I don’t care if Biden was hoarse. At Trump’s best, he made no sense, and at his worst, he was pushing terrible ideologies

The point isn’t the “excuse”, it’s the criticism over him not having full power behind his voice during the debate being irrelevant.

Which is incidentally the only real criticism I could see this morning, beyond people falsely claiming he was incoherent. Which he absolutely was not.

Man why does everyone blame O’Brien for any problem with transporters? He never even served on the Potemkin! I’m sure if he was Chief, he would have made sure to disintegrate Tom right then and there

The mods that updated for the first update were already updated within 24 hours of the next one.

The only mods that are still broken now are mods that were made and maintained by people who have stopped playing the game some time ago.

And even most of those still work, if they didn’t rely on the script extender

The mods that weren’t backwards compatible were primarily the ones that depended on the script extender. This was an unsupported executable that expanded on the commands available to the scripts in the mods.

Not to say unsupported is bad, but everyone was well aware that if they depended on the script extender, they would break if the game updated at all. The biggest mods avoided that dependency for exactly this reason, and really didn’t have any trouble. (Sim Settlements still worked the entire time, for example)

And like usual, the community stepped up and updated their unsupported extension quickly, ready for this outcome.

If you made a mod that depends on the script extender and then quit playing the game or supporting your mod, that was a choice you made as a modder. Meanwhile there’s mods that haven’t seen an update in 8 years that continue to work without issue.

Right, that’s really more of a Steam issue than a Bethesda issue. I get why Valve and Bethesda don’t want to provide customer support for old versions, but they don’t have to. People have been figuring out their own problems when using obsolete systems or software for a long time.

I have no issue with Steam pushing the updates and encouraging you to take them, but giving no way to decline is a pretty poor user experience. Especially when we already know they keep old versions on their servers, as people have made guides on how to downgrade with Steam

Eh? I thought we had the date of this update a couple of weeks in advance. I don’t think any more notice would have helped get the mods updated faster when many of the modders just don’t play anymore

There’s a lot of trauma, but he was almost never alone. Even when his wife was away, he spent all his time with Julian. And he made sure he got the good quarters.

Yeah that probably tracks. Those students probably don’t give him the respect he deserves either, and he probably hates not being out in the field.

This is not true, legendary actions are not an option in the custom game settings. This is why there are multiple mods that enable saving in honor mode or legendary actions in other modes.

It’s a fantastic show. My biggest complaint is a problem we’ve been seeing with a lot of shows lately: not enough episodes in a season. Almost feels like it’s just a half season really.

But when the biggest complaint is that I wanted more, that’s a good sign.

Yeah anyone wanting to get into the series should begin with asylum. It’s got a more horror vibe which I think holds up incredibly well still.

But the other games are mechanically better, so it’s hard to go backwards and enjoy it quite as much

Well if you talked to him, you could tell him to leave. He won’t, but you can feel better knowing you tried

I’m pretty sure it’s a grapefruit soda. Definitely not everyone’s favorite flavor, but it’s a thing

They already had the Joker as the twist reveal in two games, one of which he was already dead for.

At this point I don’t think they know how to make a game without putting the Joker in it, and I’m not even surprised anymore. If they can retcon Deadshot, they can do whatever the hell they want I guess

My experience in the game mostly feels like any turn that a character isn’t dealing damage is a wasted action.

Sure there’s a few exceptions, like putting haste on Karlach is insanely powerful. But I’m struggling to figure out how to use most support actions or classes effectively

Admittedly haven’t tried bard itself yet, but I’ve got access to all those spells on Gale, and I find a well-placed fireball usually ends up being the better choice. The main problem i have is that I almost never saw those conditions last for even one turn, they would just pass a save and it was like the spell might as well have just missed.

It’s a little frustrating, because surely there must be value in using those spells… But I’m definitely not doing it correctly when I try them out.

For what it’s worth I played tactician mode right from the start, which probably colored my learning curve a bit

Now that you have spelled it out for me, I realize this should have been obvious. I have not been paying attention to what kind of saves each spell has, or how to make sure I use the right one on the right enemy.

I imagine that should help quite a bit
