Those are passive speakers that won’t work without an amplifier. You need some PC speakers with an aux input

Unfortunately not, the motherboard only has a preamp. Those ports output a line level signal and the speakers are expecting speaker level which is post-amplification which is a MUCH stronger so it will be extremely quiet - if not completely silent

You can buy a cheap 2ch amp but I think you’d be better off with different speakers. It wouldn’t be a bad idea to get a second set of whatever you’re using for the front speakers to match the sound profile

Orin’s sibling was the first of the Absolute’s tadpole victims, weren’t they? Haven’t played in a couple months but that’s what I remember from the dark urge storyline.

I was also under the impression that the emperor was in the astral prism since before the story started. I’m not sure if the mindflayers knew about the emperor either since they just left the artifact in a bag on the ground - their mission seemed to be all about tadpoling people

The story was left open to interpretation but I’m inclined to think the emperor was not involved in any kidnapping or tadpoling.

And Lae’zel was definirely part of a mission to recover the artifact (for Orpheus - they definitely don’t know about the emperor) and got captured, she wasn’t just hunting mindflayers

I still haven’t beat it but the 2 tips I learned that changed the game for me are:

  1. Don’t select your building blueprints right away. Wait until you’ve unlocked more of the map to see what you can actually use
  2. Build the crude workshop ASAP and start making planks and fabric

38 minutes has to be cheesed. The world record is like a minute and a half through knocking out shadow and launching her across the map in a box (called Shadowboxing) so I imagine it’s something similar for honor mode

The speed run is surprisingly spoiler-free! At most you see the face of one of the bad guys during .25 seconds of a cutscenes. Maybe wait until they get officially introduced in act 2 before watching…but it’s worth checking out if for no other reason than to see the guardian the player designed lol

I got really good at the tech used to do it (launching boxes anywhere) and would throw boxes at my friends any time I found one

I agree that the inventory is atrocious - by far my least favorite part of the game - but…just stop picking up useless shit. I ended up with 40,000+ gold at the end of the game. When I replayed it, I only picked up the useful stuff and still ended the game fabulously wealthy while still buying all the things that I wanted

Blade barrier is fucking amazing!

We just got ambushed in a courtyard by about 15 enemies standing on a walkway above us, with no immediately obvious way for us to get up there. We were sitting ducks. So Shadowheart cast blade barrier across the entire walkway. In addition to doing a lot of damage every turn, it imposes difficult terrain. All of the enemies...

[Edit] I thought split keyboard were neat but never considered them for the same reason as the guy posting. I popped into the thread to see if anyone had some suggestions for OP and in turn, me.

When I saw it it had maybe a dozen comments and all but one was negative. The comment referenced in this meme hadn’t been posted yet, it was mostly just telling OP that they were typing wrong. It was weird and dismissive with 0 suggestions beyond “learn to type correctly”

Maybe future comments were more supportive but the initial onslaught was extremely homogenous and negative.

Jack off jokes aside, I can type remarkably fast with one hand. I feel like anyone who has been PC gaming for years can easily do that.

I have never used a split keyboard but I imagine within a week I’d get frustrated that I “can’t” finish a sentence while scratching my nose because the keys I need are too far away

I had an irrational dislike for chuck Norris (before I knew what horrible opinions he had, now it’s rational) simply because Vin Diesel jokes came first and the majority of Chuck Norris jokes were just name swapped older jokes.
