I am a FIRM believer that a quality product will net you more sales than any cheap tricks will and if you really come out with a banger then you always have the option to add a MEANINGFUL DLC addition down the line, instead of content you made at the same time you made the base game and just decided to wall off and “release” later.
Last week, I turned on my PC, installed a Windows update, and rebooted to find Microsoft Edge automatically open with the Chrome tabs I was working on before the update. I don’t use Microsoft Edge regularly, and I have Google Chrome set as my default browser. Bleary-eyed at 9AM, it took me a moment to realize that Microsoft...

Legends Arceus or whatever it was called could have been my favorite Pokemon game but they took so many weird decisions and made it a chore instead of fun and as always made it super baby mode and didn’t go for any kind of online options. A good 3D Pokemon MMO is possible, but Gamefreak and Nintendo don’t seem to have any interest in one ever existing. Also, I’ll be honest, I see no reason whatsoever that they limit the Pokemon available and cut old ones, with all the money they have and employees, there’s no reason they can’t incorporate every single pokemon into newer games and in an MMO setting they could even do certain ones active at certain times or some other way to make them feel exciting to get.
I’ve never understood the appeal of watching twitch streams, I enjoy the edited compiled stuff with all the boring moments cut out that ends up on YouTube sometimes, but I see no point in watching a dude eating and drinking and staring at his monitor and shouting out to viewers.

The relationship system was good until I realized that it, like Cyberpunk, was really just forming really close friendships with characters. I want my space/future girlfriends!
Are there games that you tried but just couldn’t get into because they feel outdated? Games that, in theory, you would enjoy, but don’t because the controls, graphics, writing, or mechanics just don’t feel good anymore. Games that, compared to today, just don’t hold up to your standards....
I’ve always wanted there to be an option when you start a new Pokemon game that just lets you say “I’ve played Pokemon before let me get into it”, it really is a pain in the ass as an adult.
Ha! Amazing response, never even considered how that shorthand would be taken by the Fallout community. I actually meant “disconnects” by the term DCs, but really great write up you have here.
To this very day 76 runs like absolute dog shit. They just released a paid DLC (on top of all the MTX bullshit) and yet shooting enemies is still broken and takes literal seconds in some cases to register, enemies still teleport around, and there’s no real direction or incentives to explore anything. One of the worst games I’ve ever tried to play and every time I give it another chance, nothing has improved for the better.
How does it compare to Outer Worlds? I found myself really bored in that game pretty often and I’m a huge Fallout fan so it surprised me how bland it all felt 90% of the time.

The only one of those I’ve ever heard of is Final Cut and I have Premier Pro already. I’m going to assume I can get a pretty solid alternative for any of the rest as well.
