I’d suggest some open backed headphones for home use. They really change how things sound making them sound a bit more natural especially in games. You can get sub-$100 ones as well. Biggest downside is your can’t really get wireless ones.
Also has anyone else found that BT headsets on Windows don’t work? Windows forces a different driver when you use the mic and everything sounds like crap.
There’s tons of better ones but they go up in price. Also they intentionally bleed a LOT of sound so you can’t wear them places where you need either to isolate your sound or get isolated from other sound. That’s a benefit: if you’re wearing them and the music is low enough or silent, you can hear things normally in the room.
which will stop the microphone working but give you the proper audio quality.
Yeah, I got the Grado BT headset they had and this was my choice: good audio quality and no mic. Or it actually functions as a headset but the audio quality is so bad it sounds like everything is underwater. I ended up just returning it and if I going back to my wired open-backed headset+mic.
Oof, $800. That’s waaay into audiophile territory. Not worth paying 10x the price to lose the wires. I agree with the op post in that I don’t need that kind of quality. Budget wireless open back headphones are all im looking for.
Nice. I got a cheap tube amp recently. I can’t really tell a difference but the fact that it was a headphone amp that also had speaker wire outs was exactly what I needed. So hard to find that.
I tried those but somehow they were the most uncomfortable headphones ever. I’d also have to give up using it’s mic which was half the reason I got them.
Donald Trump has multiple loans on his properties amounting to at least $200 million, which may devalue their worth and make it less likely that they will be seized to recuperate the costs of his legal fines....
Is that accurate? I asked this question yesterday and got several responses saying the exact opposite.
That the government would seize a property, quickly sell it, and then pay off any outstanding liens. Then whatever was left over got applied to the $464M and then the courts keep seizing, selling and paying until they achieved the full amount.
Otherwise if you seized someone’s full collateral for a bunch of loans, they no longer have any incentive to pay those loans if they are already close to bankruptcy and there’s nothing left for the creditors to seize.
Edit: had troubling finding an answer but this is from Tennessee and about cars. It says the government can either send the asset to lien holder or pay the lien holder
If a lien holder is listed on the title of a seized vehicle and this lien holder files a claim, a hearing is not set. The State’s Attorney will review the case and verify the lien. An Order will then issued forfeiting the property to the seizing agency subject to the lien. This allows the vehicle to be returned to the lien holder to satisfy the lien, or for the seizing agency to keep the vehicle and pay the lien holder their respective lien.
Interesting. If the government seizes properties that have been borrowed against, the government has to pay those loans? Can’t just cancel them or anything? Then you’re right and they might be worth a pittance. Especially after the over-inflating fraud. I wonder if Trump was able to get loans based on their fraudulent amounts.
If all of his properties are massively overvalued and highly leveraged against, he could end up with basically nothing left from this. Forced to declare personal bankruptcy and losing all the real estate.
Yeah. The title is a bit clickbait, though. The “enemy” being Biden in this election is pretty disingenuous when we have a literal fascist opposing him.

Ok then. Slash the military budget and give half that money to the IRS with directives to go after the rich tax dodgers. Oh no, that isn’t what you meant Rand?
Also of note: it’s almost always worse for the environment to replace a working gas car with an EV. When it comes time to purchase a new car because yours is dead or too costly to maintain, that’s a good time to look at EVs.
ICE cars with synthetic, co2 neutral fuel are even better,
Is that real yet? I’ve never heard of that in mass production.
I think the biggest downside of ICE is you’re only getting a small fraction of the power out of the fuel, even if it’s carbon neutral. There’s a ton of waste in burning that fuel.
I’m trying to figure out what kind of defect would cause that. The heating elements of a fridge, the air exchange that has the hotter refrigerant, are all outside the box I believe. If the compressor fails, the refrigerant doesn’t move and doesn’t move heat. So it’d just be an insulated box, right? I think that’d get hotter an ambient but I’m not sure I’d say it’s “heating”.
I would posit she’s an AI creation of the worst congressperson possible, but AI isn’t good enough to get things wrong/right that consistently. She’s a miracle of abhorrent nature to be this wrong this often.
I didn’t realize the moon’s distance to the Earth varied enough to cause annular eclipses. I always wondered why we didn’t see more eclipses since the moon is revolving around earth monthly.
Wow. So they’re willing to let a potentially unconstitutional law be enforced while they let the courts rule. This isn’t if an app is misusing data or if a company didn’t pay its bills on time. This is if a state can do the Constitutionally-mandated job of the federal government.
I hope another state just blatantly starts setting and enforcing their own immigration policy that the Republicans shit their pants over so the courts can get a decision faster on whether the constitution fucking matters.

Why would Democrats try to reach the MAGATs at all? If they are running anti-Trump attack ads they are targeting the “moderate” Republicans who don’t pay enough attention to know how bad their primary options are. They know they can’t affect Trump supporters. But there’s a bunch of disaffected people who identify as Republicans but dislike Trump.
and most of the population occupying the tiny sliver of political real estate between the most conservative Democrats and the least conservative Republicans
It’s not as big as the 90s, but it’s still substantial. Trump galvanized a lot of people into moving further towards the edges but the majority of Americans are politically apathetic. You only have to look at voter turnout to see that.
