I would love for the invasion system to just work like DS2 period, but with a normal level range thing like 3 and ER instead of that god awful Soul Memory bullshit.

But I also hella hope there’s some unique PvP boss area in the new DLC that is like the Bell Tower in 2 or Half-Light in 3. Elden Ring has no special multiplayer bosses at all currently. Unless you count Malenia just because she’s super hard and LetMeSoloHer exists 🤷🏻‍♂️

Fallout 3’s world doesn’t feel like Fallout but the tone of the writing comes close.

Fallout 4’s tone and writing doesn’t feel like Fallout, but the world does.

New Vegas is the only 3D Fallout game that feels like Fallout in both the world and the writing.

I can almost guarantee that unless Josh Sawyer and the other original talent that made 1, 2, and tactics that also worked on New Vegas are working on it, it will never feel like a true Fallout game.

The price parity thing exclusively is for Steam key distribution. If you’re going to distribute a steam license key via another platform, it must be priced the same as it is on Steam itself.

Nothing in that says they can’t publish on multiple platforms independently and charge different prices on them, as long as the other platform isn’t selling you a game you can unlock on your Steam library. It would have to unlock on, say, Epic’s store library.

You also have sites like Humble Bundle that either get a special pass from Valve (I mean, isn’t that a charity organization?) or the violation of distributing steam keys at different prices isn’t enforced.

When I think “space game” I usually have a specific genre in mind and Mass Effect isn’t it. You don’t even do anything in space unless you count the hub area since it’s your spaceship. For Starfield to be an honorable mention but Elite completely devoid from the list has dealt me near lethal psychic damage. 😩

The only kind of scaling I am okay with is how new enemy types will only start appearing after level X. You still feel like you’re getting powerful, but at the same time you start getting slightly more challenging enemies sprinkled in. However you only really need this in non-linear games where you expect and encourage the player to go anywhere they want instead of having complete control over the progression and how things ramp up.

Like Fallout New Vegas and 4 do. Though even those could be a bit better.

It’s the mostly same for the games I mentioned, it’s just incredibly easy to become OP in them so it’s not that hard of a roadblock and it still scales enemies beyond just adding in new types. NV has static leveled areas and FO4 spawns more difficult enemies the further away you move from Sanctuary. You can go anywhere right at the start, but you’re not gonna have an easy time fighting dearhclaws and cazadores at level 1.
